"Hats and Horns" When it comes to local specials on New Year's Eve, the more the merrier December 18, 2007 BY ROBERT FEDER Sun-Times Columnist Chicagoans who choose to ring in 2008 in front of the tube will have three local options this New Year's Eve. In addition to CBS-owned WBBM-Channel 2 and ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7 airing their usual live local specials, NBC-owned WMAQ-Channel 5 will be getting into the act for the first time in memory. Catie Keogh, an alum of "Your Nude Hippo Show," will host "24/7: Chicago New Year's Eve" at 10:35 p.m. Dec. 31 on Channel 5. The taped special from Emerald Jane Productions also will feature Chicago nightclub impresario Billy Dec. Channel 5 is considering airing "24/7" as a weekly magazine show, starting early next year.
